Let's take a closer look at SpaceCamp.

WHAT IS SPACECAMP?

SpaceCamp is a space-themed camp that allows young men to deepen their knowledge of astronomy, rocketry and space technology as well as enrich their knowledge about space-related topics. Our exceptional and fascinating camp-school was first held in 2021, from August 29th to September 1st, in COAF SMART Centre which is located in Lori and surrounded by awesome nature. From August 29 to September 1, dozens of young people who excelled in the natural sciences intensively deepened their knowledge in the field of space, well as they had a good time and left the camp with an incredible love towards Space.

The SpaceCamp 2021 was held in cooperation with the Ministry of High-Tech Industry of the RA, the AYAS Armenian Aerospace Society, the COAF SMART Centre and the Armenian Model Rocketry Association.

WHAT WILL THE PARTICIPATION IN THE SPACECAMP GIVE YOU?

Education
SpaceCamp participants will enrich their knowledge about space-related topics, including Astronomy, Astronautics, Rocketry, Space Technologies, etc.
Meeting New People
During our SpaceCamp days, participants will meet with a lot of new people, have discussions with the best professionals and scientists of the field in Armenia and get important tips from them which can later be useful in building their careers.
LEISURE
Can a SpaceCamp be without space-themed movies, sun and star gazing, discussing astronomy news and playing intellectual games? So, there will be morning sport sessions, football matches and more.

Adviser to the Minister of High-tech industry of RA

As one of the major entities in charge for space activities, the Ministry of High-Tech Industry has a duty to focus on education. The participants of the SpaceCamp 2021 program, who are the winners of international and national Olympiads, have a high potential of becoming outstanding scientists in space engineering. We’ve got a sincere hope that this camp would scale up their enthusiasm, and if there had to emerge at least one great inventor our camp’s mission would be considered accomplished.

COAF SMART Programs Manager

SpaceCamp 2021 provided a chance for the students interested in natural sciences to feel Space closer and explain it scientifically. Such programs that connect people from regions and Yerevan and are focused on science help children to understand the role of science for Armenia from a very young age.

SpaceCamp volunteer

One of my matchless experiences was volunteering at SpaceCamp 2021. It was engaging practice due to its diverse theoretical programs and unique intellectual events. Participants explored astronomy, space technology, and cosmology from a new point of view, and were given a chance to meet special guests and experts. Another significant aspect was that event members observed and participated in different experiments and tests.
